- Worst of the BoA station track defects. Next weekend (21/22 October 2017) the track gets replaced in the Bridge of Allan Station area. The Down (Northbound) line is in a poor way with some of railhead defects that bad that clamps have been put into place to prevent the track failing. Part of the Up line is badly pitted as well and the new rails are 4no. deep lying in places in the Up four foot so presumbably meaning that this will be part of the renewal work. The extent of Down line replacement appears to be well south beyond the BoA P.1 station starter signal DB15 and about 200 yards north of the A9 bridge at Lecropt Nursery.
