- A memory of the railway embankment on Castlebank Street in Partick in 1975 with the local trip from Partick Central,as the goods station was called right up to closure,making its way back to Yoker by way of Scotstoun West and the bridges over Dumbarton Road/Kingsway at the entrance more or less to Yarrow/s shipyard.
The last two wagons on the train next to the guard/s van are grain wagons which would have come from Meadowside via the connection on Castlebank Street roughly where the underpass for the cycle path was.The BP service station later went in where the car is.Massive transformation has taken place in this area since of course, the railway/ cycle path being removed completely to name just one change.
