Description:: Approaching Crianlarich this afternoon with "The Chairman's Train" 1Z40 from Alnmouth to Arisaig. 45231 is doing the Mossend to Fort William leg of the trip. Weather was not the best! Engine took on water at Crianlarich. Unlike West Coast they brought their own water in a tanker rather than draw from the local (free?) mains supply! When 45231 was attached at Mossend an additional support coach was added making 9 in total.
