- I don't know if this has been seen before, it's quite a well known shot of the area which became Buchanan Bus Station and the Caledonian University.
The large vacant space is now the Bus Station. Killermont St bus station is to the foreground and also the old Buchanan Street Bus station with a bus just poking it's nose out. All this is now the Concert Hall.
Across the road from the bus station is 302 Buchanan Street, former BR Scottish Region HQ supplanted by Blythswood and Buchanan Houses. This is now roughly where the hotel is now, whose name I forget....
The beginnings of the Caley Uni can also be seen and to the left, Buchanan House unrecognisable today from its original design.
