Description:: Seeing the item in the Discussion Forums about the nameplate being up for sale reminded me that the name was first applied to 37424 at Queen Street on 9th December 1987. This photo shows her after the ceremony. The plates were later removed and transferred to 37403, her Isle of Mull plates coming to 37424! When 37403 was renamed Ben Cruachan the Glendarroch plates went into storage as far as I am aware. 37424 itself I understand was withdrawn about 2000 and is under preservation somewhere as D6979, her original number when she started off in 1965 at Canton.
