Description:: The Camspie Branch Line closed to passenger traffic away back in 1951 and the branch completely closed in 1966. During the heavy snowfalls of December 2010 the only pictures were local. As you can see , the platforms are still in-situ albeit heavily covered in vegetation and the road over bridge has been strengthened by concrete and corrigated sheeting. The line came in from the Glasgow-Edinburgh fast line at Lenzie and continued through Kirkintilloch , Eastside , Milton of Campsie & Lennoxtown , with a through-line from there , onto the Blane Valley Line to the former holiday resort of Aberfoyle.
